6 Weeks | Kids and Teens Art Short Course

 

The 6 week-long Kids and Teens Art Short Course is suitable for art students that need a comprehensive course to grasp and practice drawing, watercolour and acrylic painting. The art lessons revolve around some of the most fundamental drawing techniques followed by watercolours and acrylics.

We recommend that children and teens that have not practiced painting before start with watercolours before approaching acrylic or other media. This is because it is usually easier and quicker to grasp the necessary basic painting techniques that will be useful when approaching other media.

Onsite & Online Virtual Art Courses

All of our art courses can be learnt in our central London art studio at Sunny Art Centre or remotely online via our live online teaching platform. The live online art tuition will follow the same structure as our on-site sessions. You can, therefore, have live interactive art lessons with our expert art tutors remotely, wherever you are.

How are the live online courses structured?

You will receive structured lessons with reference images, concept and technique documents, short demonstration videos, plus live demos from your tutor and critiques.

Live Demonstration 

Demonstration with traditional drawing/painting medium techniques: Our tutor will set up the camera to live record the demonstration during the art lesson. 

Demonstration with Photoshop :

  1. Screenshot student’s work in progress 
  2. The tutor will screen share their computer screen live with students 
  3. Correct students' work live with Photoshop; this software provides an assortment of traditional drawing and painting brush effects, allowing tutors to paint/draw digitally with academic drawing /painting techniques.

Screen Share  : Allows our tutors to share their computer screen with remote students during live sessions for explanations and critiques
Screenshot / Screen Recording  :  Allows you to record any useful info during the virtual class
Group Learning: Monitor your classmate’s working progress and learn from their critiques.

Suitability

This 6 week-long Premium Kids and Teens Art Short Course is suitable for beginners and for art students between 7 and 18 years of age. It is also suitable for art students that need  full, intensive instruction covering both drawing and painting materials and techniques. Drawing and both watercolours and acrylic will be covered throughout the duration of the course for a fully comprehensive tuition.

The content of the 6-weeks short course for kids and teens will cover the following drawing, watercolour and acrylic skills and techniques:

Drawing

  • Teaches students to approach subjects with a critical eye.

You need to choose 10 timeslots (of 2Hrs each) a week for 6 consecutive weeks via your online account (see how to book section below for more details on how to reserve the lessons).
