Alongside mastering materials such as graphite, charcoal, pastel, oil pastel, oil paints, watercolour, acrylic, you will also explore and experiment with mix media techniques. Subjects include still life, sculptures, landscapes, animals, portraits, and the human form.
Class themes include life drawing, portraits, still life, landscapes, old masters, cast drawing and en plein air painting.
In our Painting Course, you can approach media such as oil painting, acrylic painting, watercolours, while during the Drawing Course you can learn and practice with charcoals, pencils and pastels.
These classes are aimed towards those with an interest in creating art but have never taken art classes, or for those who have taken art classes in the past and wish to revisit their passion. These classes are also suitable for young people who are thinking of applying to art schools. If you wish to relax and have a bit of fun and learn about art or are looking to find a creative way to invigorate your life after work, this is the class for you.
The step-by-step, progressive nature of our beginner's art classes will allow students to easily acquire and improve basic drawing and painting techniques. By the end of the course, students will have a solid comprehension of structure, different media, and approaches in the 2-dimensional format, and the motivation to develop their new skills.
